Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Crux (cruxrace.com), you agree to these Terms. Crux is operated by Sweet Deal SL, registered in Spain. If you do not agree, do not use the service. See also our Privacy Policy.

2. What Crux is

Crux is a race-planning and intelligence tool for trail, mountain and ultra runners: AI-assisted strategy, pacing, fuelling and crew planning, a course library, a race-history record, and optional live position sharing for a runner's own crew and followers. Strava is your training; Crux is your races.

3. Safety — read this carefully

Crux is an intelligence and record layer, not a safety, monitoring or rescue service. Any live position sharing (the “beacon” / live-follow) is a convenience for a runner's own crew and followers. It is not a monitored emergency service, is provided on a best-effort basis, and may be delayed, inaccurate or unavailable (GPS, battery, signal and network all affect it). Do not rely on it for safety.

• The race organiser and their official safety/medical staff are the accountable responders for any incident during an event. Follow their instructions and the official rules at all times.
• You are responsible for your own safety, fitness to participate, mandatory kit, navigation, and your decision to start or continue.
• In an emergency, contact the race organiser's emergency number or local emergency services directly — never via Crux.
• Crux does not detect emergencies, does not alert responders, and makes no warranty as to the availability or accuracy of any live tracking.

4. AI-generated content

Strategies, pacing, fuelling and coaching content are AI-generated guidance, not professional, medical, nutritional or safety advice. Course figures are researched from public sources and may be incomplete or out of date. Always verify against the official roadbook and your own judgment, and consult a qualified professional for medical or nutritional decisions.

5. Your account & acceptable use

You are responsible for your account and for keeping your password secure. You agree not to misuse the service — no unlawful use, no attempts to break, overload or reverse-engineer it, no scraping or resale of others' data, and no uploading of content you don't have the right to share.

6. Payments & subscriptions

Paid tiers and one-off purchases are billed through Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the paid period. Prices are shown at checkout (EUR).

EU consumers have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of purchase. Because access to digital content begins immediately, by purchasing you ask us to start the service at once and acknowledge that this withdrawal right may no longer apply once the service has been fully provided. Where it applies, request a refund by emailing support@cruxrace.com or via your Stripe billing portal; we process approved refunds within 14 days.

7. Intellectual property & your content

The Crux name, software and original content are owned by Sweet Deal SL. Course geometry is derived from public sources including OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL) and public elevation data. You keep ownership of the content you create (plans, debriefs, crux moments). Content you choose to share may be shown to the community and used to improve course strategies for other runners (see the Privacy Policy); private content is never shared.

8. Limitation of liability

Crux is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sweet Deal SL is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including any reliance on AI-generated guidance or live tracking. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

9. Changes & governing law

We may update these Terms; material changes will be noted by updating the date above. These Terms are governed by Spanish law, with the courts of Spain having jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence.
